In Class 3, we have been learning about Brewood for the last few months. We've been discovering facts about Brewood . At St Mary's in Class 3 , our local area is our focus for our vehicle and that is what we are learning about. We are finding out lot's of facts that we didn't know before. We love Brewood!

Brewood has kept its original, ancient, black and white cottages and houses with their half timbered structures , and are dignified houses, that all have their original character from the Georgian and Queen Anne period.

 

Watling street , today known as the A5 , is an old, perfectly preserved Roman road that boarders the north of Brewood. Archeolagists  have made really  interesting discovery's in the old Roman military station , called Pennocrium that is just inside the boundary known now as Penkridge. The Anglo-Saxon market town of Brewood , was founded in the Anglo-Saxon times towards the end of the 6th century.
